The Mona Lisa or La Gioconda is a portrait of a woman by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, which has been acclaimed as “the best known, the most visited work of art in the world”. Bur how to find it? Well its is located in room 6 on the first floor in the Louvre in Paris. Please follow the Mona Lisa directions posted all over the museum. Don’t arrive with the crowd. The museum’s opening hours Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Friday: from 9 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., Closed on Tuesdays. Rooms begin closing 30 minutes before museum closing time. Crowds usually arrive mid-day to after lunch in the museum. To avoid the long waiting lines best arrive early in the morning.
